Unsurprisingly, this week’s TWiT starts with talk about the Verizon Droid. Leo notices that a lot of his friends in the tech community seem to be interested, which says a lot for the phone. Mark Milian talks about how the iPhone is often praised as a good pocket personal computer, but Verizon’s network undeniably guarantees that the Droid will be a good phone at square one.
Comcast is now in the business of throttling bandwidth and Frank Barnako can’t help but protest. Since throttling is effectively false advertisement, it negates...
Snow Leopard is the first topic this week and no one seems to be too happy about Apple’s latest release. Even Leo feels like the update may not be all it should have been. He speculates that it was probably more of a marketing idea to roll a lot of smaller updates into a bigger package to have an OS release to combat Windows 7.
There are a lot of government related issues this week including new texting while drivings laws and border control laptop search laws. There is a discussion about “false bottom” encrypted OS installs...
A lot fo talk about the Palm Pre up front and it is not ll universal love. Leo makes a good point that if the iPhone didn’t exist people would be losing their minds over this phone. It definitely true, but unfortunately for Palm, the iPhone is around.
WWDC is mere hours away at this point and predictions are all of the map. One thing no one would be surprised to see announced is a new iPhone though. The rumor mill has been steady on this and it looks like a new, slightly updated iPhone is inevitable. There is not too much hope for...

Dvorak is constantly on target with his insights. He has been around for a long time and is still up on what’s happening in the tech scene on a daily basis.
An interesting discussion on the future of Apple here. 3 out of the 4 think Apple will be worse off 2 years after Jobs has left, assuming he doesn’t come back. I gotta agree to some extent.
Apple and Microsoft have become more interesting companies than they have been since the 80s.
Steve Jobs’ illness hiatus, Windows...
We are lucky enough to get a clip show on this weeks episode of TWiT. When it comes to a weekly show, making a clip show is incredibly time consuming and labor intensive so it great to get this one.
Listening to all of these clips makes me glad I put TWiT in the top 5 that I put out a few days ago. The discussion here is great with so many different points of view from so many people. You absolutely will not find another tech podcast with a better roster than this.
A selection of good and bad TWiT clips from 2008, featuring many of this year’s...
