The group is talking best console of the year in this final episode of the 2008 Year in Review edition. Pachter is going with the Wii on this one while Davis and McWhertor go with the 360. I can see Pachter’s point of view, but I gotta go with the 360 as well. The way that the Wii has made gaming an acceptable hobby and social activity can not be downplayed though. I can’t help but laugh every time I hear that “powered by Burger King” line. I know it’s cool to use “powered by” but sometimes staying traditional and just saying “sponsored by” is just better. In the second episode this week we get some game of the year picks from the guys. Pachter goes for Fallout, Davis likes Left 4 Dead and McWhertor sticks with the mainstay GTAIV. Although amazing, GTAIV has really sorta lost is sheen over the months for me. Ask me right now and I would probably say Fable II. Although I can appreciate it, Little Big Planet just doesn’t keep me coming back like many people. We take a good look at what games may have a chance at game of the year.
