The 1UP crew is here with their first impressions from E3 including opinions on the Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft press conferences. Everyone was fairly pleased with the Microsoft conference.  Splinter Cell and Alan Wake were the biggest winners with the guys with surprisingly little real excitement at the Project Natal stuff.  If it works, Project Natal looks to possibly revolutionize the way we interface with our TVs and consoles.  Molyneux really blew it out with Milo.  In addition to all that, the 360 is getting Facebook, Twitter, 1080p movies...

Matt Leone is talking on this week talking about his Brutal Legend cover story which can been seen on 1UP.  The feature is being rolled out over the week, but you can go check out the first part, which is a Tim Schafer profile, and the second part should be up later today. The second episode of Listen UP is out, and it is as great as 1UP Yours.  Actually, it basically is 1UP Yours.  There really is nothing here to differentiate itself from 1UP Yours other than he name change, but that’s a good thing if you ask me. As many of you may have heard, 1UP has been bought by UGO and this means many things, many of which we don’t know yet.  One thing we do know is that The 1UP show is done.  It really is shame to see such a great and unique take on the gaming scene go away.  It was certainly something that made Fridays worth the wait every week for me. It will be interesting to see what happens to the other 1UP productions like 1UP Yours, 1UP FM and LAN Party in the wake of this.  This story will be updated as more information comes in.  We wish everyone ...

The 1UP crew is talking about the games of 2009.  More so than is usual it seems we don’t know too much about what is coming next year.  Hopefully there are a lot of games that haven’t been announced yet. Is Final Fantasy XIII really going to release next year?  I can’t see that happening.  I’m with Philip on Mafia II.  The first one was great and the second one looks to be a worthy follow-up.  It’s one of those games that kinda slipped through the cracks so if you haven’t played it, grab a copy of the PC...

Last 1UP show of the season here.  Can we possibly hold out for a special or anything next week?  We can only hope. The guys recorded this show all in 1 day.  Seeing as this is the most comprehensive weekly gaming podcast around that is quite the feat. This Playstation Home stuff is really blowing up, but it seems like it’s for the wrong reasons.  There isn’t much to do in there.  Is it just a time kill and nothing more?  Maybe it’s just skewed more towards teenagers.
