Podcast Beyond, Episode 77

Leipzig is the latest trade show to bight the dust.  Things are really changing when it comes to these types of shows.  I guess they are just proving to be too expensive for what the companies get out of them, especially in this economic climate. Killzone 2 is getting some pretty stellar reviews with a 9.4 from IGN.  Almost all scores have been above 8.5, with most of those being above 9.0.  Seems like the Playstation 3 has it’s first hit of the year and it’s biggest hit yet? Ryan O’Donnell, Matt Chandronait and the team behind the now defunct 1UP Show have started their own production company, Area 5, and have released the first episode of their new video game show CO-OP. This is a great take on the game the year awards.  The Giant Bomb crew decided to pick their GOTY winner on the podcast.  That means we get an inside look at the decision making process and get to hear some heated discussion. Although this is the continuation of last week’s edition, this really is a good way to do it.  Having it sliced into 2 parts is better than 1 long one as far as I am concerned.
