Dan Eckman joins the /Filmcast this week, adding a little bit of spicy dissention while also promoting the DVD release of his film, Mystery Team.  As always, the show starts off with What We’ve Been Watching, with Dave opening up discussion of the latest episode of Breaking Bad, which was directed by former guest and director Rian Johnson.  Everyone agrees that the episode was great despite the fact that it didn’t drive the central plot very much.  Most of this success was in fact due to Rian’s injection of much of his style...

The movie in the first segment, Monsters vs Aliens, is something that a lot of people who watch TRS probably don’t care too much about, but it’s nice that the guys can cover these sort of mainstream, light and fun movies as well as the bigger releases. Jeff went to GDC last week and has a lot to share.  Yet more OnLive talk, but the kicker here really is the independent stuff he saw.  It sounds like there are some very interesting, smaller stuff in the works that you should check out if you are tired of 1st and 3rd person shooters. ...

The Geekbox crew just doesn’t seem to be able to get enough of the TV show Burn Notice.  Does anyone watch this show?  Or better yet, has anyone started watching this show since listening to The Geekbox? I like that the guys (and gal) here talk TV as well as games and several other things.  It makes sense as The Geekbox isn’t positioning itself as a video game show, but a geek topics show.  What do you think about video game shows touching on TV or movies?  Do you want to hear it or do you prefer that they stick to games only? The Totally Rad Show | Episode 97 – Mr. Thathing

Once again we have a drama up front here that Jeff loves, Dan likes a lot and Alex is luke-warm on.  Although, in general, I tend to sway with Jeff more than any of the guys, it’s nice to have someone like Alex to provide a more mainstream viewpoint. A bit more of a positive of a review for Skate 2 from these guys.  I guess the verdict is if you love skateboarding, get it, otherwise it will probably not be for you. Glad to see Battlestar Galactica coming back pretty strong.  It’s in its last stretch so if you haven’t seen it...
