News was short this past week, most of it being born from the Spike Video Game Awards. Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, The Elder Scrolls V, Prototype 2, SSX: Deadly Descent, were all announced at the show. Bioware has passed out some Mass Effect details, announcing a day-and-date Mass Effect 3 release with other consoles as well as Mass Effect 2 early next year running on the shiny new ME3 engine.
The topic of the week is the vaunted “Year of the PS3″. Next year might actually meet the expectations of such a time, considering the myriad exclusive titles including the clearly impressive Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3. The platform will also undoubtedly sport a handful of solid PSN exclusives as well as the plentiful third-party games that’ll be sure to keep the pace going especially strong on the PS3.
