The reveal of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is probably the biggest Playstation-centric news of the week, especially coming off of the completely disappointing casting of Mark Wahlberg as Drake in last week’s movie announcements. Scott Lowe is on the show and dug up some rumors concerning the upcoming PSP2 hardware, including rear-facing camera and dual analog inputs. Resistance 3 had some rumors confirmed, most of which bring it up to speed with other modern FPS games including multiplayer character progression and customizable weapons.
Topic of the week was originally Uncharted 3, but the beginning of the podcast more than covered things so Greg flexes his conversational podcast muscles and moves straight into reader mail. The Beyond crew hit on Sony’s total failure in keeping secrets and answer some questions about PSN code submission and Dualshock issues.
Covered games and topics: Uncharted 3, PSP2 details, Resistance 3 details confirmed, Dead Space 2 demo 12/21, DC Universe going open beta, Mortal Kombat in April, Tomb Raider, new Bond game by Raven Studios, NeoGeo games coming to PSN, Hoard updated, Prototype 2, Echochrome 2, The Official IGN List of Upcoming Playstation Software on All Three Platforms by the IGN Editors, reader mail
