Assume your position in front of the toasty fireplace this week so you can enjoy a Fireside Chat with Podcast Beyond sans Greg Miller. To start off the fan favorite Roper Report, it seems that the Gran Turismo 5 mystical unicorn is actually out in stores now. Otherwise, news is fairly light, with the typical game announcements and delays that usually fill up the first segment.

The topic of the week is Ryan and Colin’s Fireside Chats, which is essentially an extended listener mail segment. They discuss the effect of graphics on gameplay, the popularity of the Call of Duty franchise, Shinji Mikami/Bethesda partnership, 2010 “year in review”, the status of Playstation Home, and the lies of the “It Only Does Everything” marketing campaign. Greg also gets in a quick plug for an upcoming IGN Meet-and-Greet that he’s hosting.

Covered games and topics: Gran Turismo 5 released (for real this time), Infamous 2 details, Double Fine announces “Stacking”, Portal 2 delayed, teased PS3 exclusive, The Official IGN List of Upcoming Playstation Software on All Three Platforms by the IGN Editors, Zombie Blognak, Pick of the Week, Fireside Chat II

Pssst. Greg Miller, leader of the Podcast Beyond nation, is gone. While he’s eating turkey and celebrating life with his family, Ryan and Colin are ready to deliver another special, calming episode of the show. It’s time for Podcast Beyond: The Fireside Chats II. On today’s delightfully cozy talk, Ryan and Colin discuss Call of Duty: Black Ops, 3D gaming, keeping your chin up, and 2010 highlights. It’s a show for the sophisticated Beyond listener, so come in, sit down, and enjoy.

…Don’t forget to stop by Portillo’s in Glendale Heights, Chicago, for an IGN Meet ‘n’ Greet with Greg Miller! The party starts on Saturday, November 27th at 11:30AM. Portillo’s is on the corner of Bloomingdale Road and North Avenue, so don’t be late!
