Vinny shares his experience with a masseur at the top of the show before moving onto the slightly more on topic subject of Blizzcon. Brad watched the event and the guys discuss some of the announcements that came out of the show. Vinny has been playing Fallout: New Vegas in a somewhat unusual way, because of the buggy nature of the game he’s found he had to use no-clipping to bypass certain situations he has found himself stuck in.
Vinny thinks DJ Hero 2 looks like an amazing game, when he watches Jeff play, but he’s not sure if he actually wants to play it himself. This leads the guys onto Rock Band 3 which by all accounts should be the final edition of this game, with the introduction of pro guitar and the keyboard Jeff can’t see how or why they’d make a Rock Band 4 at this point.
Ryan played way more of The Sims 3 (on PS3) than he expected to, although he admits he doesn’t really play it as intended. He gets more fun out of playing with the systems and antagonising his sim, there’s also some discussion about social networks connecting to the game.
Fable 3 almost gets forgotten but Brad shares his thoughts eventually, he enjoyed it but has problems with the game specifically in the later parts. News, new releases and emails round out the show as always.
Shirtless masseurs, pancakes prepared by drunk firefighters, the Fallout fixing powers of the command console, the seasonal potential of Costume Quest, the end of the line for rhythm games, plus the very worst kind of cake, all in this week’s Bombcast!
