After last weeks episode from “the archives” it’s back to our regularly scheduled TRS. The American is this weeks movie review and it’s a mixed reaction from the three guys, with each having a slightly different opinion of the film. Jeff really enjoyed the film although he notes it is very slowly paced and that could make some impatient viewers annoyed. He does think the payoff at the end of the film however is well worth it, Alex doesn’t seem to dislike the film but didn’t feel particularly invested with the character. Dans only real positive comment is that he thought the movie was well shot other than that he is pretty down on the film.
Video games this week starts off with Dan and Jeff attending a recent event that Activision held to show of Call of Duty: Black Ops‘ multiplayer. They seem really impressed by what Treyarc has brought to the CoD multiplayer experience, Jeff wonders why wagering hasn’t been put into a game like this before because it seems to make so much sense. Dan makes the bold statement that he is far more interested in the game for its multiplayer than singleplayer, a rarity for him.
Metroid: Other M is the game review, again a mishmash of feelings for this one. Alex starts off and is surprisingly high on the game, he of course doesn’t miss the opportunity to share his general disdain for motion controls. That being said he actually admits to enjoying the first person mechanic which involves pointing the Wii Remote at the screen. Dan in comparison is very down on the game, citing the backtracking as a big issue he had with the game although he didn’t play alot of it. Jeff sits somewhere in between, he hated the first person mechanic finding it clunky and unwieldy but he enjoyed the game overall and agrees it captures that Metroid feeling surprisingly well.

We’re back to the present this week with a review of George Clooney’s new movie, The American. Locke & Key being made into a TV series? Awesome. Plus, we go hands-on with Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer. And be sure to stick around to the end of the episode for some GIANT NEWS about TRS!
