For Podcast Beyond’s 150th episode, a short Roper Report opens things up as per tradition. Sony is thinking about having an EA Pass-like service for the games it publishes, which the Beyond crew really can’t be too bothered by. In other news, both Greg and Colin have been tracking the perks they’ve gotten out of Playstation Plus thus far, which has shown that Colin has quickly pushed into the green after only eight weeks.
Instead of a more normal topic of the week, the guys spend the segment on the listeners, allowing them to call in “live” with questions. They answer a lot of questions, hitting on trophies, what the guys originally thought of each other, mindblowing moments, Nolan North overload, Jim Reilly update, TGS hopes, and the crew’s best Podcast Beyond memories. Hit of the Week comes up next and a very sentimental Special Segment: Thank You closes out the show.
Note: This episode was also recorded in a video format, available via the web link to IGN.
Covered games and topics: Playstation Online Pass, Playstation Move (NBA 2K11 support), Gearbox announcement announcement for PAX, Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue, Playstation Plus update, PAX information, The Official IGN List of Upcoming Playstation Software on All Three Platforms by the IGN Editors, listener mail
We’ve hit a major milestone, ladies and gentlemen; this is the 150th episode of Podcast Beyond. Ah, it seems like only yesterday that we crowded into the IGN podcast room and awkwardly started this journey. To commemorate the occasion, we’re doing a whole bunch of crap. For starts, this is a video podcast. That’s right: you can watch the show as it was recorded by Greg, Colin and Ryan here on IGN in easy to see chapters. On top of that, we’re giving away gifts, calling listeners and debuting the unofficial official Podcast Beyond T-shirt. We’re also talking about all sorts of awesome PlayStation games.
