In the world of Rebel FM, the best part of two hours is considered a short episode. 40 minutes of that is letters, though.
To begin, Anthony is 25 hours into Arc Rise Fantasia, begging it to stop its droning grind. He tried going back to the original StarCraft too, but can’t deal with the inferior presentation.
Matt picked up Civilization Revolution when it was free on the iPhone and has already figured a strategy to win at any difficulty. He’s also tried The Incident on iPhone, which is about avoiding falling debris.
Tyler has briefly experienced Mafia 2 and Monday Night Combat. While short, the Mafia 2 demo sounds like it’s drenched in 1950s atmosphere. He and Anthony are already comparing the Summer of Arcade title to Defence of the Ancients and Team Fortress 2.
Arthur has seen Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, which is far more inspired than its name implies. It’s built on Darksiders technology and looks like painted concept art for Dawn of War 2. He’s also spent 20 per cent of his time with Nail’d in the air — well it is an off-road racer.
The letters segment kicks off with a listener’s endorsement of Nemat’s lady-drawing powers, and moves on to sequels they wish were/weren’t made. Matthew (the dying guy from episodes 66 and 67) has some good news, and shares his thoughts on Limbo.
Covered topics: Arc Rise Fantasia, StarCraft, Civilization Revolution for iPhone, The Incident, Mafia 2, Monday Night Combat, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, Nail’d.
We’re tired and we have zero ideas, so after talking about Warhammer 40K: Space Marine and more Arc Rise Fantasia, we do a long letters segment and shuffle Anthony off to Germany. Canadian Penis.
