Gary Whitta is back and there’s barely any Apple news this week. Is he going to be a fixture on this podcast?
Although Will and Norm have been playing StarCraft 2, Gary is waiting until he’s built his new PC (live on Tested, today (Friday 13th) at 3PM Pacific. Edit: video archived here).
Two new Android phones are out this week — Motorola’s Droid 2, and Dell’s Streak. The crew talk about the annoyances of pre-installed software, hardware vs. touch keyboards, and the return of side-talking.
Rumors about iTV (the rebranded Apple TV, not the British Independant Television company) are that it will use the iPhone 4/iPad processor, support apps, and cost $99. It’ll be interesting to see how Apple manage apps, music, and video shared between a family though.
In liquid news, Apple have acquired the Liquidmetal intellectual property. But for what? And Sharpie have launched a range of liquid pencils that become permanent after a day.
Although the technology is impressive, Kinect fails to excite due to its game lineup. They also skim over news of Gmail’s new contacts system, iPhone-owners’ promiscuity, and net neutrality before calling it a wrap.
Covered topics: StarCraft 2, Droid 2, Dell Streak, iTV, Liquidmetal, Liquid Pencil, Kinect, Gmail.
Will, Norm, and Gary have another fabulous conversation, where they run down the latest rumors about the next AppleTV, the brand-new Droid 2, why Will’s avoiding the Dell Streak, the current feeling about Microsoft’s Kinect, and a whole lot more. Also, we talk about crazy liquids.

Gary is back and inching ever closer to be a regular member.
Tested commenters seem to be hoping for that. I like him as a third voice.
