GWJ Conference Call Episode 198

by Jon Cole in GamesJuly 29th, 2010 @ 6:21 pm
Gamers with Jobs

Gamers with Jobs is back, Cory is hosting, and the Sands/Andrich duo are noticeably absent.  Limbo starts things off and Allen lays out his very positive impressions after a seemingly excessive two playthroughs.  The guys also discuss the atmospheric sound design and slightly disturbing art style before moving on.

After briefly hitting on the ultra-cheap Doctor Who Adventures, Lara talks about her time with Dragon Quest 9, which clearly left a good impression on her.  Following up her review of DQ8 from the past, she feels that this iteration is a sufficient evolution of the series while maintaining the brevity of past titles.  Games You Can Play Right Now wraps up with some thoughts on Valve’s latest offering, Alien Swarm.

This week’s topic is listener mail, which covers a wide range of topics including murder mystery parties, Steam demos, and ActiBlizzard “baby drowning sweatshops”

Note: Gamers with Jobs is produced by Jonathan Downin, Founder and Head Writer of CastMedium.

This week Cory, Julian, Allen and Lara tackle the email sack and beat it to death with sticks. If you want to submit a question or comment call in to our voicemail line at (612) 284-4563. This podcast brought to you by TweetMTG!
