Greg Miller is noticably absent from this week’s episode of Beyond, but Jim Reilly and Nicole Tanner swoop in to help close the wounds of his brief departure.  Opening things up is news that Netflix will soon go disc-less on the PS3, which is quite heartening to the Beyond crew who tend to make use of the 360′s superior interface for streaming.  NIS has made a lot of new game announcements, including Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, Z.H.P., and Cladun.  The Roper Report wraps up with the nebulous yet inevitable news that Kojima is working on a new game, which everyone theorizes is probably a new Metal Gear title.

The Official IGN List of Upcoming Software on All Three Platforms by the IGN Editors is totally empty this week, so Ryan quickly hits on the new PSN content.  The topic of the week and the rest of the show are dominated by listener mail, which hits on a lot of topics including backlogs, trophy deletion, hard drive installation, marry-boff-kill, and Shank.

What is the Beyond Crew to do?! Lovable host Greg Miller is off protecting the innocent at the San Diego Comic-Con, so Ryan and Colin must fend for themselves. Luckily, the PlayStation prodigies have the help of news hound Jim Reilly and Girlfight host Nicole Tanner to maintain order. On today’s show, there’s just a boatload of news to discuss. There’s also plenty of reader mail, and even an epic story about getting expensive haircuts. There’s something for everyone!
