The TRS crew has highly anticipated Christopher Nolan‘s newest flick, Inception. Going in with high expectations they have varied feelings on the film. Alex starts off, he really enjoyed the movie and thought it was great fun but it wasn’t quite the gamechanger he had been led to expect it would be. Jeff adored the film, citing the emotional story as something that he especially enjoyed. Dan also loved the film but seems to share Alex’s feelings that it wasn’t quite the epic masterpiece it was being built up to be.
The guys also discuss the trailer for The Social Network, Dan seems to have more to say about the actual trailer than the movie it’s advertising. Alex isn’t impressed and doesn’t think the film really needs to exist because the events are so recent and (to him) well known. Jeff doesn’t say much but Aaron Sorkins involvement is enough for him.
Deathspank is this weeks game and one the guys have been looking forward to. They all agree it was hilarious and it satiated Alex’s loot lust although he was disappointed by the lack of proper co-op. Jeff and Dan make note that the writing is far funnier than the actual delivery of the lines by the voice actors. Despite the shortness of the game the main complaint seems to be that the combat gets repetitive toward the end. Jeff uses the game to lead into a discussion about comedy in games and comedy games.
