This weeks episode starts off with a bit more focus than usual as CJ brings some news items to the table. Kicking off with Blizzards plan to make real names required for posting on their forums, despite the fact they will no longer be going through with the plan the guys discuss what it might mean. While the accountability factor is a major plus Sewart brings up the obvious security concerns with peoples real names being freely available.
Telltale recently put out a fairly extensive poll asking fans what they might want to see in the Back to the future games they are currently working on. The guys discuss some of the potential plots that the poll revealed, including one set in the modern day. There’s excitement all round and everyone is impressed that Telltale would reach out to their fans to guage interest like this.
Microsoft are set to launch another app for the 360 Dashboard, Destination Arcade. While the better organisation is welcome the crew agree that the dashboard really needs an overhaul rather than more offshoot apps. The only real game discussion this week is all about Crackdown 2, much as it has elsewhere the Player One hosts’ reaction is fairly middling. They agree it’s too similar to the first game and the changes made don’t really add enough to make up for the lack of improvements to the original games gameplay systems.
