Noticeably absent from this week’s Bombcast is one Brad Shoemaker, who is apparently suffering from food poisoning (get well soon Brad!). But in his stead, we get the Eastern Bloc-loving Dave Snider who always adds a great dynamic to the show. The surprisingly popular Singularity starts things off this week, with Jeff and Vinny doling out praise for some unique mechanics. Jeff spent much of the weekend watching EVO and trying to keep track of all the fighting game nonsense going on. Ryan and Jeff also touch on their experiences with APB, and they are not good. Dave jumps in for his computer antics with tales of Eve Online, which sounds continues to sound like the most frightening game ever created.
News is up next with the revelation that you will be able to use Kinect while sitting down, which is something the guys never understood the doubt on. Red Dead Redemption will be adding a bunch of DLC in the coming months and Ryan voices his skepticism packs that essentially double the price of the game. The Real ID controversy on the Blizzard forums and have a decent length debate and realization that the internet is terrible. Comic-con gaming news leads down a very strange rabbit hole of Batmen. New releases and emails close things out.

I didn't find the echoing that apparent, but maybe that's just my untrained ear. I'm glad Ryan used the term "midquel" for Dead Space Ignition… that's absolutely the one I recommended over Twitter to him. And finally, I'm so glad that the guys think that Singularity looks good… I was feeling foolish for a moment when the guys on RFM were taking a dump all over the graphics. It certainly doesn't look like Uncharted 2 or anything like that, but it does look pretty sharp.
I just finished listening to the whole thing and this was one of the best episodes in a while! That Batman stuff was great– "Batman: Markham Ayslum, Batman with Mark Wahlberg." Hilarious.
