Allen joins a fairly normal podcast today, starting things off with his impressions of OnLive. Rabbit brings up the idea that a $200 price point is essentially the price ceiling for new consoles, which tangentially pokes at the foundation of OnLive with its combined monthly subscription and cost of games.
Risk: Factions has seemingly come out of nowhere and impresses everyone who got a chance to play it, offering some new features that integrate well into the standard Risk rule set. Sean breaks out yet another shocker that blew him away, Tranformers: War for Cybertron. He praises the combat, breadth of characters, multiple modes, and much more.
An E3 episode appears to have thrown a wrench in the voicemail works, resulting in the topic of this week being dedicated to tons of emails. Discussion of topics like competitive gaming and “Gamers with Toddlers” close out the show.
Note: Gamers with Jobs is produced by Jonathan Downin, Founder and Head Writer of CastMedium.
This week Allen, Shawn, Julian and Sean Sands catch up on what feels like our first regular show in forever. Bonus content continues on a hiatus as we enjoy the summer and ramp up to our 200th show. Expect the old bonus content episode to be available for download soon! If you want to submit a question or comment call in to our voicemail line at (612) 284-4563.
