Get ready for a full 15 minute prologue about comic stores. Alan starts the regular show with a bit of insight into what’s going on with 1UP SuperGuides recently, and the discussion moves on to impressions and stories aout Red Dead Redemption. This is one of the few mainstream games that all of the at1UP crew seems to be into, so it must be good.

There is a Zombie Action News segment this week with Travis talking about the BBC reality/zombie show, Dead Set. It sounds like an interesting mashup of genres, and it is free on Youtube. Jade recommends a documentary that takes a look at North Korea and their Mass Games, A State of Mind.

The aftershow is all voicemails where Mike and Travis manage to get in another mention Gladius again. The group also talks about some of their shameful favorite movies, and answer a question about their backlog of unplayed games.

Covered topics and games: Comic stores, SuperGuides, Red Dead Redemption, Dead Set, A State of Mind

The crew open with a listener phone call that leads them to reminisce about old comic book shops. Next Alan talks about the world of MyCheats SuperGuides and today’s Game Night double-header. There are a couple of items for Zombie Action News, and Jade closes out the show with a documentary recommendation and some news about our friends over at Fangamer. In the after segment, more listener phone calls!

  1. Ross Adams says:

I have listened to the show yet so I'm not sure what was said but Dead Set was actually a Channel 4 production, nothing to do with the BBC.

It's basically a comedy drama about what would happen if the zombie apocalypse were to strike while the UK version of Big Brother was running. It was written by the very awesome Charlie Brooker.
