News of HP buying Palm starts the show and the guys seem to think that this will be a good thing for both parties. They speculate on whether the phone to come out of Palm will be branded Palm or HP.

Both of the guys are excited at the prospect of the forthcoming Dell phones, but Ryan is wary about what the real quality of the devices will be. Peter points out how Windows Phone 7 looks like a slick modern mobile OS while Android is in need of a good coat of polish.

T-Mobile has introduced a new take on data-capping, and while data-capping is still frustrating, they are handling it in a much better way which just reduces bandwidth instead of simply cutting off service. Talk of the Droid Incredible and few laptops finish the show.

As usual, lots going down in the mobile world this week, not the least of which being the blockbuster news that HP is acquiring Palm for $1.2b! We’ve also got the scoop on Nokia’s new touchscreen N8, the Dell LighningT-Mobile’s HSPA+ throttling, and hands-ons with the HTC Droid Incredible, and two PCs: the Sony VAIO L, and the Toshiba T135. Also, don’t forget about our upcoming Chicago event if you’re anywhere in the area, it’s going to be off the hook!
