The regulars — Garnett, Jeff, Brian, and Billy — have been playing the Halo: Reach beta. They sound excited about the new toys it brings, and don’t seem burnt-out on the nine-year-old series. They’re not so sure about Tecmo Bowl Throwback though, with Garnett doubtful of the PSN and XBLA game’s value. Monster Hunter Tri gets a brief mention before the four can enthuse about Alan Wake. They’re only allowed to talk about the first “chapter”, but they fervently gush over what they can. Starcraft 2, Super Street Fighter 4, and Puzzle Quest 2 close out the segment.
The guys recommend some cheap games next: Donkey Kong 3 on the Wii Shop, Battle for Wesnoth for browsers and iPhones, Kirby: Canvas Curse for the DS, and Pixel Junk Monsters for the PSP.
In “Four Minutes to Get Drunk With Power”, their quiz show segment , they debate some light-hearted topics before moving on to how they would fix America’s parental rating system.
Bungie’s new deal with Activision starts the week’s news, with everyone happy for the former Microsoft associates who have got the deal Infinity Ward employees wanted. Covered topics: Halo: Reach, Tecmo Bowl Throwback, Alan Wake, Bungie’s Activision deal.
