The regular cast are joined by semi-regular Matt Chandronait, and IGN’s Scott Bromley. They teach us some new euphemisms for sex before talking about the games they’ve been playing. Anthony’s been playing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier — which brings the series into a third person perspective — and Starcraft 2′s campaign. Tyler has been playing an intriguing indie shooter called Drone. Everyone’s been playing Splinter Cell Conviction and liking it, although Matt complains that it is more linear than previous Splinter Cells. Scott’s been playing 3D Dot Game Heroes and using his arts background to recreate Link in oversized pixel glory.
Matt and Arthur are back from Hawaii, where they saw some forthcoming Capcom titles. Ghost Trick — a DS puzzle game in which you control a benevolent poltergeist, possessing objects to save lives — sounds like one to watch. The two disagree over Dead Rising 2′s co-op. Everyone sounds happy with the modern direction Japan (or at least Capcom) seems to be moving in, with Street Fighter 4′s tournament DLC and Lost Planet 2′s multiplayer.
The second half of the show is a long emails section with the usual mix of hilarious stories, agony uncle advice, and just a little videogame talk. Anthony and Tyler inexplicably play the show out with a messy but endearing duet of Hit Me Baby One More Time, accompanied by Anthony’s acoustic guitar.
This week the normal crew joins Area5.tv’s Matt Chandronait and IGN’s Scott Bromley in an effort to blow your goddamn minds. Come away with us as we nonsensically discuss games like StarCraft 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Dead Rising 2, Okami DS, and many, many more. After the games talk you can listen to us answer your love woes and gaming thoughts via your letters! Enjoy!
