Date Night sounds like it’s destined to be great with Tina Fey and Steve Carell in leading roles but the TRS guys aren’t too sure what to make of it. They all loved the first half of the film, an apparently fairly honest and realistic portrayal of a long term relationship. There are some laughs to be had but the guys are all disappointed with the direction the film went in.
With no major gaming releases to cover the video game section can be and is in fact dedicated to nothing but iPad talk. Initally just talking about the device in general there is nothing but love here, Dan lathers on his usual brand of hyperbole about just how awesome it is. There isn’t actually much discussion about specific games but more general thoughts and hopes about what game developers can and will do with this type of device and interface.
GI Joe: Cobra kicks off the returning comic book segment, it would seem the GI Joe name doesn’t give much indication of the content. Dan and Alex’s main complaint about the book is that there is not much to take from it if you are a GI Joe fan, that being said the story itself is great. Jeff isn’t as bothered by the lack of GI Joe-ness and thinks the book is excellent. Losers is mere weeks away from seeing its big screen adaption hit theatres so the guys read up on the source material, a fairly muted response to this one. Dan and Alex aren’t too impressed but don’t think it’s bad by any stretch, Jeff thinks it’s a great series but doesn’t elaborate too much.
We go out on a laugh-filled Date Night! We talk current and upcoming games for our brand new iPads. Plus, comics with soon-to-be action film, The Losers, and G. I. Joe: Cobra!
