This week’s Geekbox starts off with the sad news that Ryan Higgins’s store got broken into on the one year anniversary of his apartment burning down, so unfortunately this guy doesn’t attract great luck. After a couple scuffles over Dunkin Donuts and fluffernutters, Ryan Scott and Karen talk about their time at PAX East, which they say felt a little inferior compared to the Seattle version though still proved to be a lot of fun.
In terms of panels, Karen said she most enjoyed the Journalists vs. Developers discussion, which leads to a little bit of debate over how informed journalists should be about what they review. Ryan got a chance to check out Death of Print and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Game Journalism, the former of which he clearly enjoyed more. PAX East talk comes to a close with Karen’s experiences with Chatroulette in her Boston hotel room.
After a strong suggestion to read the latest issue of Green Lantern, Higgins talks about Edgar Wright’s trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World starring Michael Cera which has been earning massive appeal among geek crowds (Peter Sciretta at /Film said that it’s their most viewed trailer). Lost talk and speculation brings the show to a close.
