This week’s DGR is a bit different than normal, both because they are sober and live from the Midwest Gaming Classic. John is missing, but is replaced by several guests including the legendary Fluffynuts. The show starts off with everyone discussing some of their favorite pickups from this year’s MGC as well as their antics from a gaming tournament earlier in the convention.
The first interview of the show is with two members of High Voltage discussing their upcoming title Tournament of Legends for the Wii. They make some interesting and very honest comments, including learning how to work off of the strengths of the Wii and learning the tricks of developing for it instead of repeatedly beating their heads against the system’s limitations.
After some more tales of drunken antics, the second interview starts up with the creator of a new NES game called Bio Force Ape. It turns out this game originally started as a hoax and through a few bizarre twists, became a reality to the point of now being a playable demo. It was also mentioned that the full cart will be available for sale later in the summer.
