It is a jam-packed show this time around. Nicholas Negroponte, the man behind the OLPC project and all-around visionary technologist, is the first guest here and he is a great interview. The beginning of the discussion centers around his vision of the future and where technology is now and where he feels that it is heading. The latter portion is spent on the OLPC and Negroponte’s ideas of universally available resources of information. It’s amazing how the Engadget show has provided a venue for this kind of serious discussion in the realm of technology.

After a short segment about how technology can improve public transportation, Dr. Richard Marks sits down with Paul Miller and Joystiq’s Chris Grant to go over how the PlayStation Move came about after years of iteration on motion sensing camera technology. It not all talk though, things get a little wacky as a hands-on demo yields a look at some previously unseen tech demos. Joshua and Nilay interact with a few different demos and the technology seems to work incredibly well even in the less than ideal stage environment.

Well kids, this was one for the record books. If you didn’t catch the live stream of the show (or you weren’t there in person), here’s your chance to get in on the action. On one of our biggest shows ever, Josh sits down with visionary technologist (and the man behind the OLPC project and MIT’s Media Lab, amongst others) Nicholas Negroponte for a chat, tries to figure out why we can’t get train schedules on our phones with new correspondent Rick Karr, and Paul and Chris Grant grill Dr. Richard Marks about thePlayStation Move. Oh, and it’s not just talking — we demo the Move in-person, even checking out some never-before-seen demos Sony has whipped up. All that, and music from minusbaby and visuals from notendo. Did we mention the hundreds of giveaways? No? Okay… just watch the thing!
