After the usual 10 minutes of goofing around CJ and Phil kick things off by discussing Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold. The Pokewalker gets some praise, CJ has added to his video game themed pedometer collection. Phil maintains that Gold and Silver were/are the best of the series so he is loving the updated version.
A brief aside about Game Room’s release this week leads to an interesting debate about what Sony could do to get more people interested in home. Inspired by Game Room having achievements Greg Sewart thinks adding trophies and more rewards could get that crowd using it more or at all.
Phil regales everyone with his tales of the surprisingly sedate Yakuza 3. Despite being more about tending to orphans than gang warfare he is enjoying it. None of the guys are particularly squeamish but there’s a consenscus that God of War makes them a bit uncomfortable with it’s increasingly over the top violence.
