Rebel FM Episode 54 — 03/11/10
2:11 pm
March 15th, 2010
The guys wanted to make a point of getting a show out this week after Mac related mishaps stopped them from doing one last week. With GDC going on it’s a shorter show as Anthony and Arthur are on deadline. Arthur got to see Transformers: War for Cybertron, he sounds surprisingly impressed by what he was shown. It sounds like the developers have been given alot of freedom to explore the origin fiction.
Anthony saw the new not-Tomb Raider game, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. As a downloadable title it is already a departure for the series but on top of that it is also a isometic co-op platformer. Anthony seems very intrigued by it, the co-op factor definitely plays a part in that.
While Arthur only saw a presentation of Deus Ex 3, with no actual game footage shown he goes as far as to say it could be up there for game of the year although he doesn’t explain the statement too well. The big showing of Playstation Move leads to a long debate about Project Natal and Sony’s newest motion controller.
Covered games and topics: Transformers: War for Cybertron, Split/Second, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Civiliation V, Deus Ex 3, Socom, Playstation Move, Project Natal
