The first 10 minutes of this week’s episode are tough listening as the guys start off in a busy restaurant, complete with background birthday party. They soon move to a hotel room though with lower audio quality than usual but less background noise. The show kicks off with some talk about Playstation Move, which Phil christens “PS3mote”. Guest Ethan Einhorn thinks it’s the best of the motion controller solutions but Phil and CJ aren’t so sure.
Phil thinks the whole think is just a novelty and certainly not worth the fairly hefty price tag. This leads to a discussion about Rock Band/Guitar Hero and whether the guys think the time of the music game has passed. Their opinions differ, with Phil and Ethan both saying they haven’t played Rock Band in a while.
The last section of the show is taken up by Phil retelling the story of an epic prank that was played on Ethan back in the day. The prank involved AirBlade, a tv remote, an edited IGN preview, John Davison and a Namco PR guy.
This week! CJ and Phil are live at the Game Developers Conference talkin’ games with a special guest, Sega’s Ethan Einhorn. Topics include Sony Move, Project Natal, Rock Band, Nintendo’s booth at the show, and lots, lots more. Not going to spoil all of it for you–plus, the story of the prank Phil (and others) pulled over on poor Ethan.
