iPad starts the discussion this week since the pre-orders have started. The release date has been set for April 3rd, and Joshua and Nilay both have their’s reserved. Paul hasn’t put in a pre-order and he actually feel uncool because of it. This leads into a long discussion about Microsoft’s alleged Courier in light of more pictures and video leaking out. The courier is still vaporware, but if it accomplishes what these target video are depicting, it should be an amazing device.
The JooJoo seems to be an actual real thing and it has received an updated user interface. Paul promptly dismisses it by saying that it really shouldn’t even be thought of as being in the same category as the iPad and Courier– and he is probably right. The JooJoo and HP Slate will have Flash support though.
Microsoft’s push to make console, PC and mobile cross-compatible games possible through their XNA programming language has the guys excited. Paul was at GDC this week and he shares details of his underwhelming experience with Sony’s Playstation Move.
How many SDK’s does it take to screw in a light bulb? You won’t find the answer in this week’s leaky edition of the Engadget Podcast Show, but you will get an exclusive chance to peer into the future of Paul Miller’s voiceover career.
