The Shawn and Sean duo are out this week so Lara Crigger is filling their spots. The first game of the Xbox Live Block Party, Toy Soldiers, starts the game talk and Julian is enjoying its fresh take on the tower defense genre. Lara has been playing more Darksiders after finding the subject matter of Heavy Rain to be a little too dark for her tastes.
Portal 2′s slow reveal last week has the group discussing game marketing and if they would even consider Valve’s recent actions to fall under marketing. The consensus seems to be that whether it was marketing or not, it was just plain cool. The middle section of the show has Cory interviewing Irrational Games’ Collin Moore about the launch of their community based website and the motivations behind it.
Emails bring the show to a close with Lara arguing that games within the Final Fantasy series are appreciably different.
Covered games and topics: Toy Soldiers, Darksiders, Heavy Rain, Portal 2 stuff, Irrational Games, emails
This week the crew looks back on Valve’s latest Portal 2 marketing (or was it?!) scheme and how it fits in with the industry at large. Cory also sits down with Collin Moore, the community manager for Irrational Games!

Way to over analyse the Portal update. Jesus.
I'm definitely with you on this one. It got a bit droning at some point… I certainly appreciate Valve's marketing push, but they make it sound so much more conspiratorial. I miss the Seans.
