Two big games start the show this week. God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII recieved a 9.0 and 8.5 respectively, and Tom’s commentary on GoW III makes it clear that he completely loved the game. Kevin isn’t quite as high on FF XIII, but he still feels like it is an impressive, if clichéd-riddled, entry in the series.
The guys are catching up on the news of last week, including the Activision/Infinity Ward issue and Ubisoft DRM situation. No one is too excited about the announcement of Socom 4, but after a little warming up, Portal 2 incites anticipation with its promise of co-op play. A sequel to Scribblenauts that incorporates adjectives has also been announced.
A discussion about the extremely packed release schedule through the summer leads into emails and some rather lengthy, and deliciously awkward, silences during the home work segment.
