at1UP

The Game Developers Conference is on this week, and that somehow means no game talk on at1UP. Never fear though, Mike and crew deliver some great discussion this week. Oscars talk kicks things off, but there is a general sense of apathy about the event.

The cast really kicks into high gear when Alan pitches his idea for a Spider Man FPS. Without missing a beat, he then moves on to a rant about the “dickery” present in Star Wars– brilliant stuff here. Sticking with comics, the group laments the under rated Mr. Freeze and pits the Batman villains versus their Flash counterparts. Some beer and documentary talk lead into Alan’s discovery of Axecop, which finishes the show.

It’s GDC week in San Francisco, so with all of gaming’s finest descending on the city by the bay, the at1UP crew talk about corporate tactics in the beer industry and ask the question, “How awesome is Mr. Freeze?” Check out this episode’s show notes.

Runtime – 49:53
