Are the guys going weekly again? We can only hope. The recent situation at Infinity Ward is the obvious big topic this week and it starts the podcast. The guys then move on to talk about the recently formed Indie Fund, an angel investment group put together by indie developers for indie developers.
As Chris was following the Activision debacle, Jake followed the Portal ARG. This all began with a mysterious update to Portal through Steam that has lead people to a BBS using Morse Code that revealed some mysterious Apature Science images and the number 3.11– an allusion to a forthcoming GDC announcement, maybe? Valve is one of the only companies around doing this sort of thing and the guys point out the approach to Left 4 Dead DLC as another shining example of this.
Ubisoft held a Splinter Cell Conviction event and Chris shares his impressions on the game. Flotilla, the latest from the developer of Gravity Bone, gets some attention and emails finish the show.
Covered games and topics: Activision situation, Indie Fund, Portal ARG, Splinter Cell Conviction, Flotilla, StarCraft 2, emails, Stalker
