This week’s Gamespy Debriefings is heavily dominated by talk about Heavy Rain, opening up with Anthony’s reaction to comments that his review is too vague about the story. Anthony makes the argument that the game was only as effective to him as it was because he came in knowing very little about the plot and it took him by storm. Miggels takes it a step farther and says that the game resonated with him so much emotionally that he actually felt bad when he performed unconscionable acts in the game.
Next up is Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, which Ryan has been playing and recently reviewed for four out of five stars. Anthony shares Ryan’s love for the series, saying that the series is totes some of the best games on the Nintendo DS. Despite the time-tested, formulaic structure of the first three Ace Attorney games, this title is mixes it up by not only allowing you to play as protagonist Phoenix Wright’s rival, Miles Edgeworth, but also reverting to a style more reminiscent of a point-and-click adventure game.
Covered games and topics: IGN for Haiti, Heavy Rain, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, X10, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising 2
