A fairly quick what you been playing segment this week, all of the guys have been a bit busy. Greg Sewart has been making his way through Spirit Tracks, a significantly better game than Phantom Hourglass in his and Phil’s opinion. CJ picked up White Knight Chronicles, he seems to be enjoying it but most of the discussion is spent comparing the game to everything from Vagrant Story to Animal Crossing.
With the shorter first segment the rest of the show is taken up by listener tweets. Someone asks for opinions on the announcement of Sonic 4 which leads to a lengthy discussion. With next to no information about the game the guys can’t do anything be speculate and assume at this point. They are mostly optimisitc and hope the episodic nature is executed well. But there is some skepticism that it could be used to overcharge people.
Xbox Live support for the original Xbox is being shutdown very soon, the guys speculate on why Microsoft may be deciding to take it down. They also express their concern that, with games today having increasingly more online funtionality, they will be losing out on alot of the experience when servers get shut down.
