This week’s Bombcast kicks off as usual, with Vinny quickly going through his gaming experiences from the weekend, which this week is the quirky adventure game Machinarium. Jeff gets into his decision to pay for a lifetime subscription to Star Trek Online before the game even comes out and says it came down to not wanting to worry about whether or not to keep a subscription. Brad has been spending all his time with Mass Effect 2 and does his best to stay away from storyline spoilers while discussing gameplay aspects fairly in-depth. Ryan quickly mentions Battlefield: Bad Company 2 before moving back to Jeff and Vinny for their opinions on the demo they saw of Spec Ops: The Line.
News starts off with the guys each taking their shots at the new Playstation reality show The Tester which doesn’t seem to be receiving any positive comments anywhere. Interplay also is claiming that their Fallout MMO will enter open beta in 2012, which draws chuckles all around. A level cap increase for Borderlands has Jeff excited but also wondering if the storage locker will carry over with this new DLC. New releases and emails close out the show.
