If you just haven’t had enough CES coverage, this should top you off. The gdgt guys are back, after a rather lengthy hiatus, to cover CES 2010 with a 2 part special episode. Instead of doing daily podcasts, the decision was made to take a retrospective look at the show and talk about the most notable products and announcements. This seems like the best way to go.
The discussion is all over the map here with the Nexus One kicking things off. 3D receives a similarly lengthy chunk of time before the guys move onto the resurgence of tablets. The 2nd part starts with a heavy focus on e-readers and then moves onto future wireless standards. Project Natal leads the discussion into the realm of gaming and potential future consoles and the episode closes on some of the smaller announcements of the show.
Now that the CES stragglers have all wrapped and everybody’s had a few days to reflect, we’re catching up on the most important trends and announcements kicking off 2010 in this two part episode. In this, part one, we’ve got Nexus One and Palm Pre plus and Pixi plus hands-on impressions, the straight dope on 3D HDTV, and everything you need to know about this new crop of tablet devices coming up, like the HP slate, the Dell Streak, and the Lenovo Ideapad U1 Hybrid.
In part two of our CES wrap-up / 2010 kickoff, we’ll digging in on e-book readers — specifically thePlastic Logic QUE proReader, Spring Design Alex, and the Skiff Reader — and Pixel Qi’s potentially game (or at least category)-changing display. We’ve also got word on the WiMAX-enabled Sprint Overdrive, Project Natal’s 2010 release, D-Link’s DIR-632 8-port 802.11n router, and even a bit on some upcoming smartbooks, like the Lenovo Skylight.
