The typical Debriefings crew is joined by IGN funnyman Scott Bromley, which results in a podcast even more tangential than usual. Ryan has been playing Bayonetta and has swiftly concluded that if he could marry any video game character, his choice would be the librarian/witch protagonist. Any conversation that could be considered moderately relevant devolves into a debate between whether Mega Man 2 or Mega Man 3 is the better game.
Ryan takes some time to bring up Julian “Rabbit” Murdoch’s latest piece on GameSpy, titled “God’s PR Problem”. Despite the joking about the name of the article, it’s definitely an article worth reading.
Anthony has been playing The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and has been wondering about how the in-game hint system has been changing his experience. Ryan genuinely thinks that older adventure games are much more difficult than modern adventure games, resulting in remakes like Secret of Monkey Island tailored to more casual players.

Sometimes we stay on topic and discuss some very poignant gaming-related topics. Okay, okay, that last sentence was a lie, but most of our shows sound on-topic compared to what happened when we brought on IGN’s infamous Scott Bromley. While we did end up talking a little bit about Bayonetta and whether Mega Man 2 is better than Mega Man 3, most of the podcast is a menagerie of off-topic (and frankly off-color) jokes that you should definitely not let your mom hear.
