After a couple of weeks off, CO-OP is back in regular form this week, albeit with only two games. First up is Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, a strange puzzle/strategy RPG for the DS. Ryan, Jay, and Cesar all seem very high on the game, praising it for having a large amount of options and great multiplayer. Ryan praises the game for presenting a large amount of information simply, but to be honest even after watching the segment I’m still not quite sure exactly what this game is all about.

For the second half of the show, Ryan and Cesar discuss Pandemic’s The Saboteur, which both praise for its early game black and white aesthetic. They do, however, criticize the game’s more colorful environments as being a bit bland and chide the unfinished, buggy experiences they had. The pair make numerous references to many of the good parts of the The Saboteur being taken almost directly from GTA IV but leave it up to the player to decide if that is positive or negative.

2009 isn’t wrapped up quite yet. There are a few leftovers we felt absolutely essential to take care of. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is a huge success and Sabateur offers a bit of newish-ness if you’re interested in expanding your open-world-gaming horizons via occupied, WWII France. Also, take a look at Matt and Ryan’s Y2K time capsule. What was life like 10 years ago?
