Very true, I'm truly impressed with the gamespot's podcast and now will listen to it every week. IGN podcast are great fun (Thank U Greg Miller) and IFC podcast is a good one that I recommend.

That's the beauty of the freedom of podcasts, because there can be a handful of podcasts that you don't like and there are still a ton out there that you may end up loving. I remember when I was a little tired of the peripheral podcasts in the 1UP network back before the mass firing, I checked out the Game Theory podcast which was totally a breath of fresh air just due to the completely different perspectives.

When it comes down to it, I begin to get bored or irritated when someone is doing something that's just not new at all. Luckily, each of the post-1UP podcasts seem to fill a different niche each for me, but they do have a bit of annoying crossover now and then that I'd really rather not deal with.

Im glad you loved the former 1up podcast as much as I do! Shane Bettenhausen, Garnett + anybody is an automatic win in my book. I wish Garnett is planning on a podcast but who knows? Shane's job isn't podcast friendly I guess that's a shame cause that guy is always interesting even if you don't agree with him.

As for the ex-1up people I really dislike the host of the mobcast so I skip it, rebel fm way too nit picky for me (we get it Arthur you don't like sony) and the geekbox is the only one I listen too cause it's like having a mike in the nerdiest place on earth. I find that interesting nonetheless.

I just started listing to Gamespot's podcast ever since Demon's Soul won their GOTY cause all other sites were MW2 or Uncharted 2. Awesome podcast and Giantbomb is always fun (until achievement talk comes around then I want them to go outside or something).
