It’s the Engadget guys’ 3rd day covering CES and they continue to kill it. Palm delivered some strong announcements in their press conference including word that they are opening up development with a full SDK, offering video recording via a software update and bringing updated handsets to Verizon. These are all great announcements and it speaks volumes about their commitment to the smartphone space despite a rough start.

Dell also had some big announcements with a lot of focus on Android. They will be launched an Android handset on AT&T named Mini 3, and they also provided a glimpse at their 5 inch Android-powered slate device, the Streak.

Nvidia announced the Tegra 2 which looks to be a nice update to their mobile graphics chipset. It looks like it is being targeted at tablet/slate devices, but it has also been confirmed that it will also power the Boxee Box. Borders has announced a partnership with the Spring Design Alex e-reader and Intel is launching a netbook application marketplace, the Intel AppUp Center.

It took every bit of geeky fortitude we had left in our bodies to tear ourselves away from @LadyGaga’s tweeterfeed for an hour and produce this podcast for you, but we did it. Feel appreciative?
