A new year with the Bombcast picks up right where it left off in the previous year, with tales of ridiculous holiday break hijinks. Vinny and Jeff each take their turn solemnly calculating the massive amounts of money they spent on games they will never play during the Steam holiday sale (something Giant Bomb shares with CastMedium). Brad took the break to finally dive into Fallout 3 while he wasn’t eating fried chicken and Ryan played a bunch of Borderlands with Jeff.
A busy week for news to kick off the new year with the guys discussing Capcom’s recent game delays, EA shutting down multiplayer servers for older sports titles, and surprisingly high pirated game numbers. Rumors have been circulating about a new NBA Jam game which leads into a lengthy discussion about the confusing history of the game and what could possibly be done to bring it back correctly.

? haha That sounds pretty bad tasting ! My ps3 died (a friend fixed it ) when I was playing Borderlands but I do want to get back to it after hearing about it again but there's so many games even in Jan gotta start renting like crazy till FF 13 and bad company 2 come out!
I would just like to echo Jeff's sentiment that the new Borderlands DLC is awful. I really want to get all the achievements in that game because I love it so much but Mad Moxie's Underdome Riot is atrocious. It takes up to 4 hours to get some of those achievements. The fact that you gain no experience, no weapon proficiency and no useful items aside from the extra skills is bad, but having to spend all your time in little maps is the worst. Really bad. Being an achievement whore, I have to finish this DLC off but I'm really dreading going back in.
