The show kicks off with alot of Dragon Age: Origins talk, the graphics are the first point touched on. The guys agree they aren’t great but alot of the issues with the look of the game are down to a lack of animation. Justin has been playing Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on the DS and is really enjoying it, he is slightly perplexed at the use of the Might & Magic name and the mostly generic subtitle. He is really enjoying the fast paced puzzle gameplay however.
There is some discussion of the VGAs which the general consensus seems to be aren’t great. The guys enjoy all the games reveals and trailers but feel the actual award show part leaves alot to be desired. That being said aside from categories like “Best performance by a human male” they think most of the picks were reasonable.
The show is rounded out with a combo voicemail/email segment.
Covered games and topics: christmas, Dragon Age: Origins, PixelJunk, ShooterLoadstar: The Legend of Tully Bodine, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, DLC, VGAs, voicemails and emails
It’s our last show before the Holiday Funanza and, though we wanted to take it easy, a big list of VGA-announced games is demanding our attention. Plus, we’re giving away codes for a God of War 3demo and some The Beatles: Rock Band songs. You don’t want to miss those, do you?
Thanks to Paul Taylor for his lovely Joystiq Podcast Forza 3vinyl, the perfect way to pick up members of the opposite sex. And don’t forget to join us early next week for our yule-themed show.
