Engadget Podcast 174 – 12.12.2009

by Jonathan Downin in TechDecember 12th, 2009 @ 10:12 pm

Engadget PodcastThis week’s discussion starts with talk of Dell’s Adamo inspired Vostro V13. It takes most of the style of the Adamo and brings into a palatable price range. Joshua’s Nook review is up, and he liked it, but the consensus here is that e-ink just has too many limitations and won’t be around long.

There are more rumors flying around about a potential Apple tablet, but the source is dubious at best. The guys have gotten their hands on a Joojoo and Joshua is fairly positive on it. The hardware is solid, and the software seems to be on its way to offering a smooth experience. Legal matters aside, it looks like an interesting device that will be completely devastated if an Apple tablet is due for release within the next couple quarters. Legal talk revolving around Apple and Nokia closes-out the show.

You are on the internet, seeking entertainment. There is a grue here. Josh Topolsky, Paul Miller, and Nilay Patel are discussing the week in technology news, including the new Dell Vostro V13, the Barnes and Noble Nook, the CrunchPad / Joojoo, and the myth of the Apple Tablet.
