It is a show of anniversaries this week with the Playstation brand hitting 15 years, and the Xbox 360 hitting 4 years. The 1st segment is devoted to Playstation and the guys remind us just how much innovation was introduced with Sony’s 1st foray into the gaming space. Disc-based and 3D gaming are still the cornerstones of the market today.
The Xbox 360 has taken what Sony started and evolved it in many ways. The guys cite achievements and the general increase in quality of the graphics in games to the 360, not to mention the shift of power to Western development.
An in-depth discussion on some of the bigger story points and narrative allusions of Assassin’s Creed 2 comprise the 3rd segment. It is completely spoiler filled, so stop listening at the 42:40 mark if you are so inclined.
