Back to a regular length show this week and Tyler kicks things off with yet more IGF games he has been playing. He’s specifically enjoying space based entrants at the moment. Arthur has started playing the 2008 game Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, the guys relate it to playing with LEGO and think it’s alot of fun. There’s some discussion of Pandemics “swan song” The Saboteur Arthur and Anthony are a bit down on the game, they don’t seem to think it’s bad, just not great. Anthony played some League of Legends, this leads to some brief debate about free to play games that use micro transactions.
The second section focuses on this weeks listener question, which asked for listeners games of the year. Arthur asked that people to try not to pick something too obvious, answers vary greatly as a result. Lots of downloadable titles are mentioned in the early going. The general feeling that surrounds these answers is that there were alot of games this year, specifically alot of great games.
The shows closes out with the usual emails, this weeks topics range from the continuing debate about relationship letters to DS game recommendations.
Covered games and topics: Gratuitous Space Battles, City Rain, A New Zero, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, The Saboteur, Rogue Warrior, Blood Bowl, Solar, Modern Warfare 2, League of Legends
