With the holidays in the US this week, the GWJ crew is down to three with Shawn Andrich, Julian Murdoch and Rob Borges holding down the fort. Starting off the show as usual with games they have been playing which features a lot of talk on Assassin’s Creed 2 up front. Shawn and Rob have finished the game but Julian voices his frustration at some of the more platform-heavy sections of the game. Talk then moves to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, with the guys taking the opinion of thinking the game is very difficult.
Continuing talk about Dragon Age: Origins then takes over the podcast, as all the guys are really enjoying the challenge that the game is presenting. Shawn has been starting to delve into the mods for Dragon Age, which draws some jabs from Julian about having flashbacks to Oblivion.
Being a bit short-staffed, the second half of the show features the rather large backlog of emails and voicemails that GWJ has been sitting on for while. Emails include questions about how much a developer being attached to a game affects their choice to play a game and one from our own Jon Cole asking their opinions on the iPod Touch as a gaming console.
We can’t thank GWJ enough for the kind words they gave us this week. You guys rock!
Covered games and topics: Assassin’s Creed 2. Super Mario Wii, Dragon Age, Emails
This week we catch up on emails as we recover from Thanksgiving. We also request Christmas memories from our listeners!
