I think Crackdown is one of the best example., It had some really inventive achievements the encouraged you to go out of your way and experiement with the sandbox of the game. If I get a friend invite from someone that has less than 6K, that tells me something about their experience (if not necessarily their skill). Also, if they have something between 6K and maybe 25K, that's a range comparable to me. Above that, then it's probably someone more serious about gaming.
